FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Yolo County – Caltrans continues with nightly construction work on eastbound and westbound Interstate 80 (I-80) and U.S. Highway 50 (US-50) for the Yolo I-80 Pavement Rehabilitation Project.

Motorists will experience some delays for both directions. Nearby residents can expect loud construction noise from the pavement demolition work and the old concrete being removed and hauled away near U.S. Highway 50 (Hwy 50) in West Sacramento

The work is part of a project to expand and rehabilitate the roadway surface on I-80 and US-50 in Yolo County.

Schedule and Location:

Mainline I-80 near Reed Avenue
Nightly 11/7- 11/15 between 9 p.m.- 5 a.m.

The overall project’s work zone is from the Yolo Causeway through West Sacramento on Interstate 80 and U.S. Highway 50.

The $280 million project includes $47 million from Senate Bill (SB 1), the Road Repair and Accountability Act of 2017.

The speed limit has been reduced to 55 miles per hour 24/7 for the safety of workers and motorists. Caltrans advises motorists to “Be Work Zone Alert” – someone’s loved one is at work.

The schedule is subject to change due to traffic incidents, weather, availability of equipment and/ or materials, and construction related issues.
