FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

SACRAMENTO – Caltrans Districts 3 and 4 are planning a Virtual Open House and survey to be held between January 8 – 15, 2021 to inform the public about the Interstate 80 (I-80) Comprehensive Multimodal Corridor Plan (CMCP). Caltrans, partners, and stakeholders are working together to develop a CMCP for the I-80 corridor. The I-80 CMCP is an important planning document that will identify projects to improve travel through this corridor.

The I-80 CMCP covers about a 70-mile span of I-80 in Solano, Yolo, and Sacramento counties and will include various modes of transportation including Capitol Corridor passenger rail, freight rail, the Ports of Benicia and West Sacramento, local and express bus routes as well as bike and pedestrian facilities.

The website is scheduled to go “live” on January 8, 2021 and will include the Virtual Open House from January 8, 2021 through January 14, 2021. There will be a survey for the public to provide input via the website.

Caltrans staff will be available during the virtual open house via phone on Tuesday, January 12, 2021 from 11:30 am – 12:30 pm and Thursday, January 14, 2021 from 5:30 pm – 6:30 pm to answer questions.
