Trinity Four Bridges

The Project:

This bridge preventative maintenance project is located in Trinity County at various locations on State Route 3 and State Route 299.

 

Project Benefits:

This project will preserve the structural integrity of the Dobbins Gulch, Stuart Fork, Mule Creek, and Grass Valley Creek bridges in a safe and economic manner to add longevity.

 

Project Includes:

For the Grass Valley Creek Bridge work includes repairing unsound concrete, replacing all bearings at both abutments, cleaning, painting and covering exposed reinforcing steel with new concrete, replacing joint seals and other miscellaneous items of work.

 

For the Dobbins Gulch Bridge work includes removing existing asphalt concrete on deck, replacing unsound concrete in deck, placing concrete deck-on-deck, wideningfor accommodation of new bridge barrier, constructing approach slabs, guard railing and other miscellaneous items of work.

 

For the Stuart Fork Bridge work includes repairing unsound concrete in the piers, repairing damaged anchor bolts, installing galvanized anodes, coffer dams, shoring, and temporary supports for pier repairs, and other miscellaneous items of work.

 

For Mule Creek Bridge work includes removing existing asphalt concrete on deck, replacing unsound concrete in deck, placing concrete deck-on-deck, widening for accommodation of new bridge barrier, construction of approach slabs, approach paving, guard railing, and other miscellaneous items of work.

 

Current Project Schedule:

There are an estimated 105 working days allotted for this project. Most working days will require traffic control. Construction is scheduled to occur between Spring and Fall of 2023.
