Culvert Project to Restart on State Route 3 in Trinity County
The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans District 2), in conjunction with Robert J. Frank Construction, Inc., is preparing to restart work on a culvert rehabilitation and replacement project on State Route 3 in Trinity County. The $270k project will repair or replace five culverts and install culvert liners and drainage inlets at various locations from just north of East Weaver Road to approximately 2 miles south of Covington Mill Road.
Construction activities are currently planned to restart on May 17. Motorists will encounter one-way traffic control with 5-minute delays, Monday through Friday during daytime hours. Motorists are urged to slow down and drive carefully in and around construction areas, follow speed limit reductions in place, and allot extra time for delays. The project is currently anticipated to be completed by September.
Construction projects are subject to changes without prior notice. Caltrans and its contractors do our best to keep the public informed.
