Fredonyer Faults Director's Order on State Route 36 in Lassen County

The Project:

Via Director’s Order, Caltrans District 2 and Tullis, Inc. are conducting pavement repairs and addressing slide issues related to fault movement from seismic activity on State Route 36 in Lassen County, east of Fredonyer Summit.

Project Includes:

Grinding/smoothing pavement over several fault lines and conducting geological/survey investigations to determine long-term fix for the area.

Current Project Schedule:

State Route 36 in currently under 24/7 one-way traffic control with up to 25-minute delays in the project area, with added stop signs.  Project completion date is yet to be determined.
