Crescent Mills CAPM

The Project:

The Crescent Mills CAPM (Capital Preventative Maintenance) project in Plumas County is on State Route (SR) 89 near Greenville, from 0.8 mile south of Dixie Canyon Road to Wolf Creek Bridge and from Mill Street to 0.4 mile north of Hillside Drive.

Project Benefits:

The purpose of the project is to restore the facility to a state of good repair so that the roadway will be in a condition that requires minimal maintenance, and to improve the ride quality for the traveling public.

 

Project Includes:

This project includes an overlay to the existing roadway from edge of pavement to edge of pavement for 16.4 lane-miles with 0.2 feet of Hot Mix Asphalt (HMA), the construction of one Maintenance Vehicle Pullout, overlaying 19 existing driveways, and paving 10 existing unpaved driveways. The project also includes replacement of metal beam guardrail with Midwest Guardrail System, replacement of 22 culverts, and replacement of signs and traffic monitoring systems.

 

Current Project Schedule:

It is estimated this project will take 180 workings days, with all days requiring traffic control. Construction is scheduled to start in the fall/winter of 2024.
