Beegum Overlay Project on State Route 36

The Project:

The Beegum Overlay Project will provide a pavement overlay on 6 miles of State Route 36 in Tehama County near Platina, from Beegum Creek Bridge to 2.5 miles east of Ball Road.

Project Includes:

Replacing asphalt concrete surfacing via digouts and placing 0.10’ hot mix asphalt overlay in project area, shoulder backing to standard, adjustment of guardrail where necessary, and striping.

Current Project Schedule:

There are an estimated 30 working days for this project, all which will require traffic control. Construction is currently scheduled for summer of 2022.

Project Funding Estimates:

Total project cost (including support) is $1.7 million. This project is made possible by Highway Maintenance funding, with portions from Senate Bill (SB) 1.
