August Complex ELB Emergency Work on State Route 36 in Trinity County

Current State Route 36 Closure Schedule:

Monday - Sunday

Effective Wednesday, February 17th, eastbound and westbound traffic will be escorted through the closure area at 7 a.m., 9 a.m., 11 a.m., 1 p.m., 3 p.m., and 5:30 p.m. and overnight at the top of each hour between 7 p.m. - 7 a.m. Eastbound and westbound traffic must be in line at these times to be piloted through the closure area. Motorists are asked to wait for the pilot car and to follow directions of flagger if arriving at closure point earlier than 15 minutes before the opening time.

The closure points currently remain for eastbound traffic at South Fork Mountain Summit and for westbound traffic approximately 5 miles west of the junction with State Route 3 in Trinity County.

Caltrans District 2 and contractor J.F. Shea Co. Inc. continue installing metal beam guardrail, removing hazard trees, and assessing and repairing drainage and culvert systems along the State Route 36 corridor following the August Complex.
