Road Work to Close Portions of SR-76 and SR-78 Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday (8/2-4)

SAN DIEGO — Caltrans will conduct one-lane traffic control along State Route 76 (SR-76) and State Route 78 (SR-78) for maintenance work in the Witch Creek/Lake Henshaw area. The closures will allow crews to repair potholes and do other general maintenance.

Motorists will share the open lane alternately. Flaggers will direct the flow of traffic to minimize delays and ensure safety.

Closure Schedules 

Wednesday, August 2

  • Witch Creek: SR-78 eastbound and westbound lanes near Deer Canyon Drive/ Westside Drive from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Thursday, August 3

  • Lake Henshaw: SR-76 eastbound and westbound lanes from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Friday, August 4

  • Lake Henshaw: SR-76 eastbound and westbound lanes from 7 a.m.5 p.m.

Motorists are reminded to be Work Zone Alert if traveling in the area and to watch for highway workers and moving construction equipment.

The work schedule is subject to change due to weather conditions, traffic incidents, or other construction-related reasons.
