SAN DIEGO —Caltrans maintenance crews will close the State Route-78 (SR-78) eastbound off-ramp and westbound on-ramp at Sycamore Avenue Thursday night from 8:30 p.m. to 5 a.m. to inspect and clean three culverts.
Detours for both closures are as follows:
- Eastbound SR-78 on-ramp to Sycamore Avenue: take the westbound SR-78 on-ramp, exit at Mar Vista Drive, turn left onto Mar Vista Drive, and turn left onto the eastbound SR-78 on-ramp.
- Westbound SR-78 off-ramp to Sycamore Avenue: Continue west on SR-78, exit at Mar Vista Drive, turn left onto Mar Vista Drive, turn left onto the eastbound SR-78 on-ramp, and exit at Sycamore Drive.
Motorists are reminded to be Work Zone Alert if traveling in the area and to watch for highway workers and moving construction equipment.
The construction schedule is subject to change due to weather conditions, traffic incidents, or other construction-related reasons.
