SAN DIEGO — Caltrans construction crews will make pedestrian crossing ramp improvements at Scripps Poway Parkway and State Route 67 (SR-67) as part of the Pavement Rehabilitation Project.

Nighttime work is scheduled for Sunday, April 2, and Monday, April 3, from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. Nighttime work includes jackhammering and breaking up concrete. The evening schedule is set to minimize traffic impacts and increase worker safety as crews work in lanes.

This map shows the location of the scheduled work. For more information, call (619) 688-6670 or email CT.Public.Information.D11@dot.ca.gov

Once the concrete is broken up, crews will switch to daytime work in the same location to pour new concrete and upgrade the access along SR-67. As a result, travelers will notice that SR-67 may be reduced to one lane in the construction zone.

This work is part of a year-and-a-half-long project to repair and improve 18 miles of travel way and shoulders SR-67 from just north of the San Diego River Bridge in Lakeside to State Route 78 in Ramona.

Motorists are reminded to be Work Zone Alert if traveling in the area and to watch for highway workers and moving construction equipment.

The construction schedule is subject to change due to weather conditions, traffic incidents, or other construction-related reasons.
