SAN DIEGO — Caltrans maintenance crews will close the northbound State Route 163 (SR-163) to the westbound Interstate 8 (I-8) connector Monday through Thursday nights from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. for electrical work, weather permitting.
Motorists will continue north on SR-163 to the westbound Friars Road exit. Turn right on Friars Road and proceed to the westbound I-8 entrance on-ramp.
Motorists are reminded to be Work Zone Alert if traveling in the area and to watch for highway workers and moving construction equipment.
The construction schedule is subject to change due to weather conditions, traffic incidents, or other construction-related reasons.
