SR-905 Construction to Close Connectors, Britannia Boulevard Exit

SAN DIEGO — Caltrans crews will close ramps and freeway connectors along State Route 905 on Sunday, October 9, from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. The Britannia Boulevard off-ramp from SR-905 will be closed on Monday, October 10, from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. The work includes asphalt and pavement micro-surfacing, new thermoplastic striping, and upgraded wrong-way driver striping enhancements, at all ramps along SR-905 from San Ysidro to Otay Mesa.

Traffic delays may occur, and travelers are advised to plan ahead and allow additional time to reach their destinations. Motorists are asked to Be Work Zone Alert and watch for workers while driving in the area.

Sunday 10/9 Closures

Northbound Interstate 5 connector to Eastbound State Route 905

  • Detour: Head north on I-5 to Coronado Avenue. Turn left on Coronado Avenue, then enter the southbound I-5 ramp. Head south on I-5 towards the eastbound SR-905 connector.

Eastbound SR-905 From Oro Vista

  • Detour: From Oro Vista, head east on SR-905 towards the northbound I-5 ramp. Head north on I-5 to Coronado Avenue. Turn left on Coronado Avenue, then enter the southbound I-5 ramp. Head south on I-5 towards the eastbound SR-905 connector.

Monday, 10/10 Closure

Eastbound 905 Britannia Boulevard Off-Ramp

  • Detour: Travelers headed to the Cross Border Express (CBX) should continue East and exit La Media Rd. off-ramp, turn left onto La Media Rd., then turn left again at Otay Mesa Rd. towards Britannia Blvd.
