Nighttime Lane Closures on SR-125 Begin Sunday, March 29

SAN DIEGO—Northbound and southbound State Route 125 (SR-125) between the Troy Street Overcrossing in Spring Valley and the Spring Street Undercrossing in La Mesa will be closed for up to four hours at a time Sunday through Thursday from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m., according to Caltrans. Crews will close one direction at a time for pavement work on the bridge decks.

Detour signs will be posted during the closures to direct motorists as follows:

  • Primary Detour for Northbound SR-125 Full Freeway Closure: Continue northbound SR-125 to eastbound State Route 94 (SR-94), exit to Bancroft Street and travel north to westbound SR-94, to northbound SR-125.
  •  Secondary Detour for Northbound SR-125 Full Freeway Closure: Continue northbound SR-125 to westbound SR-94, exit to Lemon Grove Avenue and travel south to eastbound SR-94, to northbound SR-125.
  •  Detour for Southbound SR-125 Full Freeway Closure: Continue southbound SR-125 to westbound SR-94, to southbound Interstate 15 to southbound Interstate 5, to eastbound State Route 54 to SR-125.

Drivers are reminded to slow down in the construction zone, safely Move Over a lane if possible when highway workers are present and to Be Work Zone Alert.

The work schedule is subject to change due to traffic incidents, weather, availability of equipment and materials, or construction-related issues.
