SAN DIEGO — A 9.6-mile section of State Route 76 (SR-76) from South Grade Road (County Highway S6) to East Grade Road (County Highway S7) in Pauma Valley will be closed Sunday from 7 a.m. to noon for a local event, according to Caltrans.

Signs have been posted well ahead of the closure points to alert drivers.

Detour signs will be posted at each end of the closure directing motorists on eastbound SR-76 onto South Grade Road and motorists on westbound SR-76 onto East Grade Road.

Local traffic will be allowed access at SR-76/East Grade Road to just east of Camp Ground Road as safe to do so.

Caltrans crews will take advantage of the closure for various maintenance operations including removing litter and overgrown brush.
