I-805 North Drainage Culvert and Asset Management Project

Project Overview

The I-805 North Drainage Culvert and Asset Management Project focuses on a 4.8-mile segment of Interstate 805 in the City of San Diego, extending from just north of the SR-52 interchange to the I-5/I-805 separation. This project targets drainage culverts and surface infrastructure identified through Caltrans District 11’s Culvert Inspection Program.

In addition to culvert rehabilitation, the project will improve pavement quality, enhance roadside safety features, and incorporate complete streets elements to support accessibility and long-term performance. These efforts ensure that the corridor continues to serve the region effectively for decades to come.
