SAN DIEGO — The Caltrans I-805 North Drainage Culvert and Asset Management Project team will close all lanes of northbound Interstate 805 (I-805) from State Route (SR-52) to Miramar Road Friday, April 24 at 9 p.m. to Sunday, April 26 at 5 a.m. for culvert replacement underneath the freeway just south of Nobel Drive.
- Northbound I-805 motorists may connect to Westbound Interstate 8 (I-8) to reach Northbound I-5 before being detoured at SR-52.
- Motorists in University City may travel north on I-805 in the far-right lane from Governor Drive to Nobel Drive.
I-805 entrances and exits at Nobel Drive will be closed.

Portable changeable message signs will be placed along the routes to advise of the closure and suggest alternate routes.
Businesses and homes near Nobel Drive should anticipate construction noise and lighting during the closure.
This project will rehabilitate culverts, upgrade pavement, enhance roadside safety, and add complete-streets features to improve accessibility and long-term use. These improvements are designed to ensure effective regional service, improve safety and performance, and promote environmental conservation.
The I-805 North Drainage Culvert and Asset Management Project covers a 4.8-mile stretch of Interstate 805 in San Diego, from north of SR-52 to the I-5/I-805 split.
