Lane Closures On State Routes 132, 99, And Interstate 5

Stanislaus County The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will perform various lane closures on State Route 132 (SR-132), State Route 99 (SR-99), and Interstate 5 (I-5).  Work is scheduled to occur as follows:

 

State Route 99

  • Closure of the #3 (right) lane of northbound SR-99 from the Merced County line to Taylor Road for a crack seal operation beginning Monday, July 8, through Friday, July 12, 2024, from 8:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m.
  • Overnight closure of the #3 (right) lane of northbound SR-99 from Maze Boulevard to Kansas Avenue in Modesto for geotechnical work beginning Wednesday, July 10 through Friday, July 12, 2024, from 10:00 p.m. until 6:00 a.m.
  • Full, long-term closures of the vending machine buildings at the northbound and southbound Enoch Christofferson Rest Areas for renovations. The project is expected to last through the fall of 2024.

 

Interstate 5

  • Full closure of the Sperry Avenue on and offramps on northbound I-5 for a paving operation beginning Thursday, July 11 through Friday, July 12, 2024, from 8:00 p.m. until 6:00 a.m.
  • Full, long-term closures of the northbound and southbound Westley Safety Roadside Rest Areas on I-5 for construction work. Note: This project is expected to continue through the fall of 2025.

 

State Route 132

  • Alternating lane closures on eastbound and westbound SR-132 between Parry Avenue and Trask Lane in Modesto for utility and curb work beginning Sunday, July 7, through Friday, July 12, 2024, from 8:00 p.m. until 6:00 a.m.
  • Lane shifts between Reinway Avenue and F Street/Hickman Road on SR-132 in Waterford for construction work beginning Monday, July 8, through Tuesday, July 2, 2024, from 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m.

 

Motorists should expect 5 to 10-minute delays and use alternate routes whenever possible. This work is scheduled to occur as listed but is subject to change due to traffic incidents, weather, equipment and materials availability, and construction-related issues.
