Closures On Interstate 5 & State Routes 4, 99 & 132

Stanislaus County – The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will conduct closures on Interstate 5 and State Route 4 (SR-4), SR-99, and SR-132 for maintenance and construction work in Stanislaus County next week. Work is scheduled to occur as follows:

State Route 4

• Overnight one-way traffic control from the San Joaquin/Stanislaus County line to Hoods Creek for paving work beginning Sunday, October 11, through Friday, October 16, 2026, from 7:00 p.m. until 7:00 a.m.
• The above closure is required as part of the SR-4 Farmington Highway Improvement Project. For details, visit https://dot.ca.gov/caltrans-near-me/district-10/district-10-current-projects/10-1c050.

State Route 99

• Closure of the northbound #1 (left) lane from Hatch Road to Maze Boulevard for tree work on Monday, October 12, 2026, from 8:30 a.m. until 2:30 p.m.

State Route 132

• Long-term full closure of the westbound left-turn lane to Frazine Road in Empire for roadway excavation beginning Monday, October 12, through Friday, November 20, 2026, from 6:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m.
• Overnight one-way traffic control at Spencer Avenue in Modesto for utility work beginning Sunday, October 11 through Friday, October 16, 2026, from 8:00 p.m. until 4:30 a.m.

Interstate 5

• Long-term, full closures of the northbound and southbound Westley Safety Roadside Rest Areas and the auxiliary lane leading to the southbound rest area exit for construction work through fall 2026.
