Closures On Interstate 5 & State Routes 4, 33, 99 & 132

Stanislaus County – The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will perform various closures on Interstate 5 and State Route 4 (SR-4), SR-33, SR-99, and SR-132 for maintenance and construction work in Stanislaus County next week. Work is scheduled to occur as follows:

State Route 33

State Route 33

  • Overnight, one-way traffic control between Fourth Street and Sperry Avenue for construction work beginning Sunday, September 13, through Friday, September 18, 2026, from 7:00 p.m. until 6:00 a.m.
  • Overnight, one-way traffic control between M Street and Eucalyptus Avenue for construction work beginning Sunday, September 13, through Friday, September 18, 2026, from 7:00 p.m. until 6:00 a.m.

State Route 99

  • Closure of the northbound #1 (left) lane from the Merced County line to Folkerth Road for maintenance work beginning Monday, September 14, through Friday, September 18, 2026, from 8:30 a.m. until 2:30 p.m.

State Route 99

  • One-way traffic control between McCracken Road and Kasson Road for paving work beginning Tuesday, September 15, through Wednesday. September 16, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m.
  • One-way traffic control between Russell Road and Paradise Road for paving work on Thursday, September 17, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m.
  • One-way traffic control at Texas Road for paving work on Thursday, September 17, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m.

Interstate 5

  • Long-term, full closures of the northbound and southbound Westley Safety Roadside Rest Areas and the auxiliary lane leading to the southbound rest area exit for construction work.
  • Note: This project is expected to continue through summer 2026.
