Various Closures On Interstate 5 & State Routes 4 And 99
Stanislaus County – The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will perform various closures on Interstate 5, State Route 4 (SR-4), and SR-99 for maintenance and construction work within Stanislaus County next week. Work is scheduled to occur as follows:
State Route 4
- Overnight, intermittent one-way traffic control from the San Joaquin/Stanislaus County line to Hoods Creek for drainage work beginning Sunday, July 26, through Friday, July 31, from 7:00 p.m. until 7:00 a.m.

State Route 99
- Full closure of the off-ramp from SR-99 to Maze Boulevard in Modesto for maintenance work on Thursday, July 30, 2026, from 8:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m.
Interstate 5
- Long-term, full closures of the northbound and southbound Westley Safety Roadside Rest Areas and the auxiliary lane leading to the southbound rest area exit for construction work.
- Note: This project is expected to continue through summer 2026.
