Various Closures On Interstate 5 And State Routes 99 & 120
Stanislaus County – The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will perform various closures on Interstate 5 and State Routes 99 (SR-99) and SR-120 for maintenance and construction work within Stanislaus County. Work will occur as follows:
Interstate 5
- Long-term, full closures of the northbound and southbound Westley Safety Roadside Rest Areas and the auxiliary lane leading to the southbound rest area exit for construction work.
Note: This project is expected to continue through the spring of 2026.
State Route 99
- Daytime shoulder closures from Keyes Road to SR-219/Broadway Avenue for shoulder work beginning Wednesday, February 18, through Friday, February 20, from 8:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m.
State Route 120
- Overnight, one-way traffic control at Atlas Road for construction work beginning Wednesday, February 18, through Friday, February 20, from 9:00 p.m. until 5:00 a.m.
Motorists should expect 5-to-10-minute delays and use alternate routes whenever possible. All work is scheduled to occur as listed but is subject to change due to traffic incidents, weather, availability of equipment/materials, and construction-related issues.
