Interstate 5 – Lane & Ramp Closures
Closures From Hammer Lane To Sacramento County Line
San Joaquin County – The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will perform various closures on Interstate 5 (I-5) for maintenance and construction work within San Joaquin County. Work will occur as follows:
- Overnight, alternating lane closures on northbound and southbound I-5 from Hammer Lane to the San Joaquin/Sacramento County line for construction beginning Monday, July 7, through Saturday, July 12, from 9:00 p.m. until 5:00 a.m. (northbound) and from 9:00 p.m. until 6:00 a.m. (southbound).
- Overnight, full on and off-ramp closures at Hammer Lane, Eight Mile Road, SR-12 (Flag City), Turner Road, Peltier Road, and Walnut Grove/Thornton Road for construction beginning Monday, July 7, through Saturday, July 12, from 9:00 p.m. until 5:00 a.m. (northbound) and from 9:00 p.m. until 6:00 a.m. (southbound).
The above listed lane and ramp closures on I-5 between Hammer Lane and the San Joaquin/Sacramento County line are required as part of the I-5 Anchor Pavement Project that will improve 34 miles of existing pavement and shoulders from Hammer Lane in Stockton to the San Joaquin/Sacramento County line. The project will also replace on- and off-ramps with upgraded concrete at Eight Mile Road, State Route 12, Turner Road, Peltier Road, and Thornton Road/Walnut Grove Road. State Route 99 – Overcrossing Closure
Calaveras River Overcrossing On Northbound Sr-99 In Stockton
San Joaquin County – The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will perform various closures on State Route 99 (SR-99) for maintenance and construction work within San Joaquin County. Work will occur as follows:
- Long term full closure of the Calaveras River/Frontage Road Overcrossing of SR-99 due to bridge work. Estimated completion date for bridge repairs is late August/early September 2025. Please seek alternate route.
Interstate 580 – Ramp Closures
Closures At Patterson Pass Road For Construction
San Joaquin County – The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will perform various closures on Interstate 580 (I-580) for maintenance and construction operations. Work will occur as follows:
- Overnight, full on and off-ramp closures on I-580 at Patterson Pass Road for construction work beginning Monday, July 7, through Friday, July 11, from 9:00 p.m. until 5:00 a.m. (eastbound) and from 7:00 p.m. until 3:30 a.m. (westbound.)
Motorists should expect 5-to-10-minute delays and use alternate routes whenever possible. All work is scheduled to occur as listed but is subject to change due to traffic incidents, weather, availability of equipment/materials, and construction-related issues.
