One-Way Traffic Control Next Week
Calaveras County – The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will conduct one-way traffic control next week on State Routes 4, 26, and 49 for maintenance and construction operations. Work is scheduled as follows:
State Route 4
- Long-term, one-way traffic control takes place from Appaloosa Road to Stallion Way for pavement work through Wednesday, December 31, 2025.
State Route 26
- Long-term, one-way traffic control takes place from Gill Haven Drive to Rich Gulch Lane for highway construction work through Wednesday, December 31, 2025.
- One-way traffic control takes place from Railroad Flat Road to Main Street for tree work on Wednesday, December 16, 2025, from 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m.
- One-way traffic control takes place from Main Street to Bucksaw Lane for tree work beginning Monday, December 15, 2025, through Tuesday, December 16, 2025, from 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m.
State Route 49
- One-way traffic control takes place from South Bret Harte Drive/Sam’s Way to Copello Drive for highway construction work on Monday, December 15, 2025, from 7:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m., and beginning Tuesday, December 16, 2025, through Friday, December 19, 2025, from 9:00 p.m. until 7:00 a.m.
Motorists should expect 5-to-10-minute delays and use alternate routes whenever possible. All work is scheduled to occur as listed but is subject to change due to traffic incidents, weather, availability of equipment/materials, and construction-related issues.
