Traffic Advisory
ALPINE COUNTY – The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will conduct tree work next week on State Route 89 in Alpine County.
- One-way traffic control from Markleeville Campground Road to Pine Hill Resort Entrance beginning Monday, May 16, through Tuesday, May 17, 2022, from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
- One-way traffic control from Airport Road to Webster Street beginning Wednesday, May 18, through Friday, May 20, 2022, from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
These are Emergency Director’s Order projects to remove trees that were damaged by the Tamarack Fire. The project will continue until spring 2022.
Motorists should expect 10- minute delays and use alternate routes whenever possible.
Work is scheduled as listed, but is subject to change due to traffic incidents, weather, availability of equipment, and/or materials and construction related issues.
