No Traffic Controls & Temporary Pass Closures
Alpine County – The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will not conduct traffic controls in Alpine County next week.
State Route 4
- The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) has a temporary road closure in place on State Route 4 (Ebbetts Pass) due to storm conditions. The eastbound closure is set at Lake Alpine, and the westbound closure is set at the SR-4/89 Junction closure gate. The temporary closure began on Wednesday, November 12, at 12:00 p.m. and will extend into the latter half of next week, when Caltrans maintenance crews will reassess road conditions for safely re-opening the highway to the traveling public.

- The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) has a temporary road closure in place on State Route 89 (Monitor Pass) due to storm conditions. The eastbound closure is set at the State Route 4/89 junction, and the westbound closure is set at US-395. The temporary closure began on Wednesday, November 12, at 1:00 p.m. and will extend into the latter half of next week, when Caltrans maintenance crews will reassess road conditions for safely re-opening the highway to the traveling public.
