Traffic Control Next Week
Alpine County – The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will conduct the following traffic controls on State Route 88 (SR-88) in Alpine County. Work is scheduled as follows:
State Route 88
- Conventional moving highway from the Lumber Yard Ranger Station to the California/Nevada State line for striping operations beginning Monday, October 6, through Thursday, October 9, 2025, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Motorists should expect 5-to-10-minute delays and use alternate routes whenever possible. All work is scheduled to occur as listed but is subject to change due to traffic incidents, weather, availability of equipment/materials, and construction-related issues.
