Tuttletown Pavement Widening Project
Project Description
It is recommended that the pavement at this curve be widened at both the northbound and southbound directions. In the southbound direction, it will be necessary to import material to fill an area approximately 3700 SF. The project widens the southbound side of the curve at Post Mile 25.3, on State Route 49 in Tuolumne County.
Project Benefits
Purpose and Need
The purpose of the project is to provide adequate pavement width at the short radius curve to accommodate a STAA design vehicle. The need is inadequate pavement width for southbound truck traffic is causing off-tracking, resulting in delays for the traveling public.
