Pedestrian Hybrid Beacon System State Route 108 Project
Project Description
Install a Pedestrian Hybrid Beacon (PHB) system at the intersection of State Route (SR) 108 and Stanislaus Avenue/South Wood Avenue at Post Mile (PM) 37.4 in the City of Oakdale, Stanislaus County. In addition, reconstruct the curb ramps at the northeast and southeast corners of the intersection to meet Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) standards.
Project Benefits
Purpose
The purpose of this project is to improve pedestrian safety at the existing marked crosswalk.
Need
The need is to alert inattentive drivers to stop for pedestrians entering the crosswalk.
