State Route 132 Modesto Pavement Anchor Project
Project Description
This project proposes to restore pavement conditions in and near Modesto and address the needs for traffic signals, gore paving and vegetation control, bridge rehabilitation, and adding new curb ramps, bike lanes, sidewalks, and crosswalks.
Project Benefits
Purpose
The purpose of this project is to restore the roadway facility to a satisfactory condition through rehabilitation efforts. This will effectively reduce maintenance expenses for the Department while enhancing safety by minimizing Field Maintenance's exposure to moving traffic.
Need
Failing to implement timely maintenance strategies would result in further degradation of the design life and level of service. Such deterioration would lead to significant increases in maintenance costs and hinder the ability of State forces to adequately maintain this section of SR-132 for the benefit of the traveling public.
