Caltrans To Begin Bridge Maintenance Project At Nine Locations In Merced & Mariposa Counties

STOCKTON – Caltrans is preparing to begin a bridge preventative maintenance project that will make necessary repairs at nine different locations within Merced and Mariposa Counties.

Work will vary per location and will include the repair of existing bridge deck concrete, installation of polyester concrete overlays, and the replacement of various joint seals and bridge deck approach and departure slabs.   

This project is scheduled to begin the week of April 24-30, 2022, (weather permitting) with completion expected in September 2022.

The majority of work is to be performed during night-time hours and will require lane closures, including one-way traffic control.  Caltrans will have flaggers and/or changeable message signs alerting motorists of the lane closures.

This estimated $2.93 million maintenance project will be performed by Myers & Sons Construction LP, of Sacramento, CA. 

Schedules are subject to change due to traffic incidents, weather, availability of equipment and/or materials and construction related issues.
