Gustine / Dos Palos Pedestrian Improvement Project

Project Description

The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will be performing a pedestrian improvement project to replace sidewalks, curbs, gutters, driveways, and curb ramps to current ADA standards in the cities of Gustine and Dos Palos in Merced County. The Gustine pedestrian improvements are proposed on State Route 140 between Linden Avenue and First Avenue, and in Dos Palos on State Route 33 between Sharon Lane and Christian Avenue.

Project Benefits

Purpose and Need

The purpose of this project is to upgrade the pedestrian facilities to current ADA standards. The need of this project is existing deficient pedestrian facilities and access barriers for pedestrians with disabilities at various locations within the project limits.

 

Funding Source

This is an Authorized SHOPP Major under the ADA Curb Ramps Program code 201.361.
