State Route 108 Intersection Control Improvement Project
Project Description
This Safety Improvement project is in Stanislaus County on State Route 108 (McHenry Ave) at the intersection of Coralwood Road in the city of Modesto. The intersection of SR 108 and Coralwood Road is a three-legged unsignalized intersection with stop control access from Coralwood Road and free flow traffic on SR 108. The project proposes to reduce the number and severity of broadside collisions at this location by signalizing this intersection.

Project Benefits
Purpose and Need
The purpose of this safety project is to reduce the number and severity of broadside collisions. A safety analysis was performed and determined there is a need to improve this intersection due to insufficient control and higher than average number of broadside collisions due to motorists failing to yield.
