State Route 49 Mariposa Pavement Anchor Project

Project Description

This pavement rehabilitation Capital Preventative Maintenance (CAPM) project proposes to extend the service life of existing pavement providing 42.778 lane-miles pavement surface. This proposed CAPM is located on State Route (SR) 49 in Mariposa County starting at 1.95 miles north of Mount Ophir Road (Postmile (PM) 27) and ending at the County Line (PM 48.835). Within the project limits, this highway goes through the town of Coulterville and starts and ends as a conventional highway. The objective of the project is to extend the service life of the existing pavement and to provide a smoother driving surface. This will involve addressing subsurface failures that have been observed which will require stabilization.
