Fort Bragg ADA

Caltrans proposes to reconstruct existing sidewalks within the City of Fort Bragg in compliance with Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) standards. The project will also construct new sidewalks on the east side of State Route 1 (SR1) from the State Route 20 (SR20) intersection to Boatyard Drive. Additional new sidewalk construction will occur on the west side of Route 1 from Ocean View Drive to the south end of the Noyo River Bridge, from Noyo Point Road to Cypress Street, and from Spruce Street to Elm Street. Walkway construction will occur along the south side of Cypress Street extending west from Route 1 for approximately 125 feet. Some of the new sidewalks will include construction of retaining walls. Additional improvements include drainage, road striping and signal button upgrades.

The purpose of the project is to comply with American with Disability Act (ADA) requirements and improve conditions for pedestrians along Route 1 from the Route 20 intersection to Elm Street.
