About Us

As part of Caltrans' commitment to deliver on its Equity Statement, Caltrans has established the Director's Office of Sustainability and the Director's Office of Equity & Tribal Affairs (ETA). This new development represents the Department's commitment to advancing holistic, integrated and restorative policies to planning, building and advocating for a more just transportation system. These offices collaborate across the Department to align sustainability and equity initiatives, targets and activities between the Director's Office, Headquarters Divisions, the 12 Caltrans Districts, tribal governments and external partners as outlined in the Department's 2020-2024 Strategic Plan.
