Section 48 Temporary Structures

4-4801 General

Temporary structures includes falsework, temporary supports for existing structures, temporary decking for joint or deck reconstruction, and jacking support systems for lowering bridge superstructure. For guidance on temporary structures, refer to Structure Construction’s Section 48, "Temporary Structures," of the Bridge Construction Records and Procedures Manual, Vol. 2, the Bridge Deck Construction Manual, and the Falsework Manual at:
