BENICIA – In this Caltrans News Flash, we visit our on-the-job ironworkers apprenticeship training program in the Bay Area.

This program is intended to provide opportunities to minority and disadvantaged applicants, allows them to learn new skills and introduces them into the ironworker workforce.

This program is made possible through a partnership with the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA), and Caltrans is looking forward to expanding the number of skilled ironworkers on highway construction projects.
