SACRAMENTO — Smoother roads and transportation improvements have been promised to Californians, and Caltrans is delivering on that promise with projects funded by SB 1.
In this Caltrans News Flash, transportation officials talk about how SB 1 funds are being used to repave roads, like the US Highway 50 project in Sacramento, and how these highway projects are improving safety and the quality of life for motorists.
SB 1 provides an ongoing funding increase of approximately $1.8 billion annually for the maintenance and rehabilitation of the state highway system, and Caltrans will fix more than 17,000 lane miles of pavement, 500 bridges and 55,000 culverts and drainage systems by 2027.
Caltrans is committed to conducting its business in a fully transparent manner and detailing its progress to the public. For complete details on SB 1, visit http://rebuildingca.ca.gov/.
