Keough Pavement Project
Project Information
The proposed Keough Pavement Project will reconstruct and rehabilitate almost 49 lane miles of U.S. 395 from State Route 168 E to Warm Springs Road between Bishop and Big Pine in Inyo County. The purpose of this project is to restore the facility to a state of good repair, extend its service life, and improve ride quality. This project will also upgrade existing drainage facilities, improve bicyclist access, and realign the Big Pine Canal to prevent erosion. Details of the project could also include:
- Construction of 6-foot bicycle lanes at the intersections of Keough Hot Springs Road and Gerkin Road
- Addition of 3 feet of shoulder backing
- Upgraded traffic signs to current standards
- Replacement and installation of Midwest Guardrail System
