Access to Tu Su Lane from U.S. 395 to be Temporarily Unavailable Starting Next Week

What you need to know: As part of the Meadow Farms ADA Project, Caltrans will close access to Tu Su Lane from U.S. 395 between Rocking W Drive and MacGregor Avenue beginning September 15 while crews replace drainage infrastructure.

BISHOP — Caltrans will close access to Tu Su Lane from U.S. 395 starting at 7:00 am on Monday, September 15, as part of the Meadow Farms ADA Project. The closure is anticipated to last for three days while crews replace drainage infrastructure, and southbound traffic will shift to the northbound lanes from Rocking W Drive to MacGregor Avenue.

TRAFFIC IMPACT: All traffic will shift to the northbound lanes of U.S. 395 from Rocking W Drive to MacGregor Avenue beginning on Monday at 7:00 am. Drivers can use Barlow Lane, Diaz Lane, and See Vee Lane within the Bishop Paiute Reservation as detours. 

FUNDING INFORMATION: The Meadow Farms ADA Project received $13.56 million from the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act of 2021 (IIJA) – also known as the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law. Under IIJA, California will receive an estimated $41.9 billion over five years. IIJA provides significant funding to rebuild California’s transportation system, including support to improve roadways, bridges, freight projects, public transportation, infrastructure safety enhancements, and to increase infrastructure resiliency to the impacts of severe weather and climate change.
