Project Benefits

Purpose

The purpose of the project is to improve intersection traffic operations and safety by reducing the number and severity of collisions and reducing traffic congestion at the east junction intersection of State Route 43 with State Route 46 by placing a roundabout at the intersection.

Need

The intersection has a collision rate above the statewide average for similar facilities, and traffic warrants have been met that establish the need for a safety improvement project at the intersection.
