Tulare 245 Culvert Rehabilitation Project

Project Description

The project proposes to repair or replace 150 culverts on State Route 245 in Tulare County at various locations from the junction of State Route 245 and State Route 198 to the Tulare/Fresno County line.

Project Benefits

Purpose

The purpose of the project is to repair or replace existing culverts within the project limits.

Need

The project is needed to prevent flooding of the roadway and extend the service life of the culverts. The culverts have perforations, heavy rust, joint separations, and damaged end treatments, and they are clogged with sediment and/or debris.

The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) assures that no person shall, on the basis of race, color, or national origin - including Limited English Proficiency (Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964), be excluded from participation in, be denied the benefits of, or be otherwise subjected to discrimination under any program or activity within Caltrans.
