Contract 10-1J240(10A2170 )

The responses to bidder's inquiries, unless incorporated into a formal addendum to the contract, are not a part of the contract and are provided for the bidder's convenience only. In some instances, the question and answer may represent a summary of the matters discussed rather than a word-for-word recitation. The availability or use of information provided in the responses to bidder's inquiries is not to be construed in any way as a waiver of the provisions of Section 2-1.03 of the Standard Specifications or any other provision of the contract, the plans, Standard Specifications or Special Provisions, nor to excuse the contractor from full compliance with those contract requirements. Bidders are cautioned that subsequent responses or contract addenda may affect or vary a response previously given.

Q1) I see that the bid opportunity has loaded on Cal E-procure, but it has two links. What is the link for the bid sheets/bidding documents? When I try it says that it requires a systems upgrade, yet the entire bid spec book downloads just fine.

A1) Adobe Pro is needed to download the forms. The Department separated the ADM-1509A Bid Proposal sheets from the boilerplate to adhere to ADA Compliance requirements.

Q2) If you look at the plans pages 203-217 they do not go with the bid items for this project, they are for a radio repeater project in San Luis Obispo. Can we get the correct plans asap please?

A2) Correct plans have been attached.

Q3) Are flaggers required?

A3) All work is outside the shoulders and flaggers are not required for the fence work.

Q4) Is the 25 days turnaround for the project extendable without penalty?

A4) Section 8 Prosecution and Progress of the Standard Specification states to “Complete the work within the Contract time.” Liquidated Damages may start to accrue on the 1st day after the expiration of the working days.
