Caltrans Improving Route 12/Boas Drive Intersection in Santa Rosa

Adding Traffic Signals, Sidewalks and Curb Ramps

 

SONOMA COUNTY – In mid-April 2026, Caltrans began a project to signalize and add other improvements, including new sidewalk, ADA compliant curb ramps and an improved drainage system to the intersection of State Route 12 at Boas Avenue in Santa Rosa.

 

Motorists will see the installation of several of the traffic signal standards this week, a sought-after improvement by Caltrans, the Sonoma County Transportation and Climate Authority and the surrounding community.

 

In addition to the traffic signal, Caltrans will make use of the opportunity to install ADA compliant curb ramps, new sidewalks and upgrade to the drainage system.

 

Ghilotti Construction is the contractor on the $1.5 million project that should be completed by the end of the year.
