State Route 37 Petaluma River Bridge Preservation Project

Project Overview

The purpose of the project is to address the health and safety of the Petaluma River Bridge on State Route 37 (SR-37). This project is needed to address deteriorating bridge deck and fender system, bridge scour to ensure the integrity and longevity of the bridge structural system and upgrade the bridge railings to meet current safety standards and maintain the structure in a reliable and serviceable condition.

Project Schedule

The environmental phase was completed in 2023.

The design phase is scheduled to be completed in 2025.

Construction is scheduled to start late in 2025 or early in 2026, depending on weather and other factors.
