121 Capell Creek Bridge Repair, Napa County

Project Overview:

Caltrans will make repairs to the Capell Creek Bridge on State Route 121/Monticello Road in Napa County between Circle Oaks Drive and Longhorn Ridge Road.  The bridge repairs will consist of repairing spalled concrete with epoxy grout, repairing cracks with epoxy injection, and replacing the northwest wingwall.

Scope of Work:

Caltrans plans propose two construction stages to complete the repair work. The first construction stage requires shifting traffic for both directions of travel into the single northbound lane guided by the one-way traffic signal system. 
The second construction stage requires shifting traffic for both directions of travel into the southbound lane guided by the one-way traffic signal system.

Traffic Delays & Handling:

Traffic delays should be expected during construction due to construction staging.  A one-way traffic signal system and temporary concrete barriers will be used to guide traffic into one lane for use by both directions of travel during construction. Access to adjacent driveways will be maintained during construction. Bicycle traffic will be sharing the main traffic lanes within the project limits.  

Project Timeline:

Currently, construction work is expected to begin in June of 2021 with the bridge repair work completed by the end of October of 2021.
