District 4 Construction Mentor-Protege Program

The Construction Mentor-Protégé Program originated from the state Governor’s Executive Order S-11-06 in 2006. The program is designed to encourage and support small businesses, who are Protégés in the program, through voluntary partnerships with established Mentor firms in the San Francisco Bay Area in a way that is both effective and measurable. The Mentor-Protégé Program will  help small and locally owned construction firms acquire the knowledge, skills, and relationships necessary to bid and successfully complete public works projects. The program will be designed to encourage and support small business, who are protégés in the program, through voluntary partnerships with established Mentor firms in the San Francisco Bay Area in a way that is effective, measurable, and sustainable.
