September 24, 2022 - Mountain View US 101/Ellis St, Southbound On-ramp Clean-up

VTA, Keep Santa Clara Valley Beautiful, and Caltrans Clean CA are teaming together to host a volunteer community cleanup in the City of Mountain View. The purpose of the event is to increase public awareness of the hazards to drivers and the environment of littering on the highways.

July 23, 2022 - San Jose I-680/McKee Road Northbound Off-ramp Clean-up

June 16, 2022 - Berkeley Waterfront Clean California State Beautification Project

Caltrans and the City of Berkeley celebrated a $3.4 million Clean California project that will upgrade and beautify the gateway entrance to the Berkeley Waterfront. This project is made possible through Governor Gavin Newsom's Clean California initiative, a sweeping $1.1 billion, multiyear clean-up effort led by Caltrans to remove trash, create thousands of jobs and engage communities to transform public spaces.

June 9, 2022 - Caltrans, City of San José Celebrate Clean California-funded Community Park Project

The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) and the City of San José today celebrated a Clean California project that will build a new park at Havana Drive and Midfield Avenue. The park will provide a recreational and gathering space for the nearby neighborhood and is made possible through Governor Gavin Newsom’s Clean California initiative, a sweeping $1.1 billion, multiyear clean-up effort led by Caltrans to remove trash, create thousands of jobs and engage communities to transform public spaces.

April 29, 2022 - Caltrans, Oakland Highlight $4.9 Million Clean California Project to Upgrade City Parks

The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) and the City of Oakland today celebrated a $4.9 million grant to upgrade and beautify nine miniparks throughout the city. This project is made possible through Governor Gavin Newsom's Clean California initiative, a sweeping $1.1 billion, multiyear clean-up effort led by Caltrans to remove trash, create thousands of jobs, and engage communities to transform public spaces.

April 12, 2022 - Clean CA San Francisco South of Market Local Grant Program

The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) and the San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency (SFMTA) today celebrated a $1.8 million grant to beautify an area near Yerba Buena Gardens. The South of Market Street (SoMa) Transit Gardens Connection project is made possible through Governor Gavin Newsom’s Clean California initiative, a sweeping $1.1 billion, multiyear clean-up effort led by Caltrans to remove trash, create thousands of jobs and engage communities to transform public spaces.

 

April 6, 2022 - Clean CA San Francisco 5th Street Nursery State Beautification Project

The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans), in partnership with the San Francisco Bureau of Urban Forestry and the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection (CAL FIRE), announced today a project that will beautify an underserved area of the city and educate visitors on the importance of building a robust urban forest. The $2.7 million Fifth Street Tree Nursery project is funded by Governor Gavin Newsom’s Clean California initiative, a sweeping $1.1 billion, multiyear clean-up effort led by Caltrans to remove trash, create thousands of jobs, and engage communities to transform public spaces.
