SONOMA COUNTY – Caltrans will begin a patch paving project on Monday, June 20, 2022, to repair deteriorated sections of pavement on State Route 116 in Sonoma County between River Road in Guerneville and Martinelli Road in Forestville.

Crews will dig out and repave worn-out pavement sections, working between 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM, Monday, June 20 – Friday, June 24, 2022.

Caltrans will start work in Guerneville, patch paving the eastbound lane before turning around and working westbound.

Work crews will implement one-way traffic control, using flaggers to manage traffic during working hours. Motorists should expect delays of five minutes, perhaps more during peak periods.

Upon completion of the paving work, Caltrans will allow the pavement to cure for about a week before striping the lanes. Temporary striping will assist motorists in the meantime.

Caltrans will use rolling one-way traffic control while applying permanent striping to the traffic lanes.
